5ACT
St. Thomas' is involved in a cluster with four other Anglican Churches in Blackpool. This cluster is called 5ACT - this stands for 5 Anglican Churches Together. The other four churches are:
- Christ Church with All Saints
- St. John's
- St. Mark's
- St. Paul's North Shore
The churches cooperate in ministry and misson and have been growing in this relationship for the as six years. In 2007 and 2008 5ACT held a United Service with over 400 members attending representing all the 5ACT churches. In July 2007 the churches had a joint mission called M:007 'Live and NOT Die'.
Wider church
St. Thomas' is also part of the Blackpool Deanery and Churches Together in Central Blackpool In addition to this we have many links with other evangelical and charismatic churches and are often involved in joint ventures.
The church has links through its member's involvement in various inter-churc charitable organisations in the town:
- Helping Hand
- BSYW
- Fylde T3
- Still Waters
- Street Pastors
The philosophy of the church is to encourage members to be active in inter-church organisations in order to achieve far more than a single church can alone.
